In times of sorrow, let us remember Mike for his love, dedication, and the joy he found in family and life. Mike's unwavering support for the Saints and LSU Tigers showcased his love for sports. A passionate hunter, skilled fisherman, and avid golfer, he found joy in life's simple pleasures. Eventually Mike joined Campbell Cabinets as a Northshore Salesman, where he formed lasting friendships. Following his honorable discharge, he worked on industrial construction projects in West Texas and along the Mississippi River, later starting his own painting company. Mike served in the Navy as a submariner on the USS George Washington Carver from 1970 to 1976. Born into a large and loving family, he leaves behind cherished memories with his mother Margaret, brother Gregg, uncle Richard, daughter Monica and her three children, Jana, Jessica, and John, his wife Nancy, and stepchildren and grandchildren: Johnny, Kingston, Julie, Maya, and Anna. John Michael ("Mike") Harper, a devoted family man and faithful servant of God, passed away on Wednesday, January 17, 2024. Memorial services to celebrate her life will be held on Sunday March 3, 2024, at 2 pm at American Legion Post 374 at 2233 Carey St. She is preceded in death by her parents Harold and Helen McDonald. She is survived by her loving husband of 30 years Donald Bellow, her children Ian Larson and Melony Hollbrook, her brother Ian McDonald, and 7 grandchildren. She was a wonderful woman to be around and everyone that met her loved her. Lorraine was a bartender for many years including at the American Legion in Slidell, where she last tended. On Monday January 22, 2024, Lorraine Bellow, age 64 of Slidell, LA passed on peacefully.
